Nikon Elements Software v3.0

For anyone using NIS Elements you are probably aware that v3.0 was officially released about 3 months ago. There are a host of new features included in this release and are detailed here.

One addition that I've been recently very impressed with is the FRET calculation module. This system has changed the approach to the usual workflow of FRET, making my life less difficult as this is a difficult research technique to support. I've written up an overview on this methodology which includes screenshots and can be found below.

Another nice addition to the package is the ability to operate the parallel port using macros. This is a great feature for custom installations as the installer can communicate with any TTL controlled device through the software. I'll update a post later this week with instructions on doing this...
